Move the Patient and Platform as One System
The Hadron FPLS® is the industry’s first patented Trendelenburg foam pad lift system, a combined patient handling and repositioning pad built for arms-out (abducted) procedures. Its eight handles move the patient and pad together, so no one lifts by drawsheet. Moreover, the platform is modular. Customers can add a our FPLS-3000-wing kit, and it converts to full Genesis Bi-Wing arm adduction.
Built for Trendelenburg and Lithotomy Steep angles are where drawsheet methods break down. The reinforced Hadron secures the patient through full pad-to-skin contact, so staff reposition by handle instead of pulling on a sheet. The result is a repeatable setup in under three minutes, with fewer hands and less strain on the team.
Hadron HDP for Anterior Hip Procedures The Hadron HDP (Hip Distraction Pad) is purpose-built for anterior hip cases. It delivers the traction needed to reduce perineal post injuries. In addition, its handles move patients onto the table after spinal or epidural anesthesia and place them precisely for surgical access. Meanwhile, no staff member lifts a sedated patient by sheet.
Hadron XL for High-BMI Patients Standard pads are sized off a 20 to 21-inch table, not off the patient. The Hadron XL, however, is 27 inches wide, so larger patients get full support and staff get a safe hold.
Positioning Standards and Evidence AORN’s ergonomic tools set clear limits on manual lifting during lateral transfer and repositioning, and therefore assistive devices are the compliant path for most adult patients.
